To give road users the best of services, GCE are well-equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. With 3 toll plazas, GCE has implemented various strategies to improve traffic flow and maintenance system.
The road users can enjoy the convenience when paying tolls with the mix-mode facilities. GCE has 35 lanes altogether, with 18 mix mode lanes for cash and Touch ‘n Go users, 9 Touch ‘n Go lanes and 8 SmartTag lanes. For further convenience, Customer Service counters are provided at the highways and also at the lanes. These counters are for the users to refill their Touch ‘n Go card. GCE also has a dedicated motorcycle lane.
For the safety of the road users, GCE installed emergency phones every 2km interval to help the motorist to contact the control center in case of any emergency. 2 nos of Variable Message Signs (VMS), and Close Circuit Televisions (CCTV) have also been installed.
As an additional service, GCE provides a 24 hours hotline and patrolling teams. The development of GCE did not just stop there. The maintenance of the highway is constantly being carried out to provide the motorist the best service we can offer.
This activity involves the inspection in various areas such as the expansion of joints, piers, generator set, Automatic Lane Barrier (ALB), street lighting and as well as the upkeep of the landscape.
Other facilities that GCE has are 2 Rest and Service Areas (RSA) and 2 lay-bys. These RSAs has facilities such as toilets, foodcourt, playground, prayer rooms and others.
These improvements are carried out to fulfill customer’s expectations and needs in line with the ISO 9001:2000 standards.
